Factory Throwouts Cigars Now Banded

Greetings, thrifters and Throwouts. We wanted to give our kudos to J.C. Newman who is now banding and barcoding their $1 range Factory Throwouts cigar line. As a retailer it makes it easier for us to scan the cigars as we check you out. This was not an issue with their claro (green cigar line) but it was when trying to sort between the Sweets and Natural versions which are virtually indistinguishable until you light one up. So when you bring your Factory Throwouts to the counter, don’t worry. We will now be able to tell them apart.

Toast Across America 2012

Greetings, fans of Fuente and devotees of Diamond Crown. Below is a sneak preview of the 10th Anniversary Toast Across America cigar set from A. Fuente & J.C. Newman. The sales of these cigars every year since 2002 have benefited the charity known as the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation. We at Habana Port will offer another TAA event in November to help this great cause. Stay tuned.

2011 Toast Across America Cigar Event

Greetings, orators of Opus. Habana Port Cigar Merchants is proud to host the 2011 Toast Across America Cigar Event in our shop this year. The limited engagement is a special one.

Date: Friday, October 28, 2011
Time: 6-8 PM
Cost: $65 per attendee (includes 2011 TAA cigar sampler which includes an Opus X and a Julius Caesar made only for this event).

This is a limited engagement and we expect to sell out of these cigar packs fast, so hurry to purchase yours today.

For those not familiar with Toast Across America, here are some details as TAA posts on their website:

First debuting in 2003, this unique fundraiser brings together fine tobacconists and cigar enthusiasts from all over the world for one amazing evening. This year the Fuente and Newman families have released two limited edition cigars exclusively for the Toast Across America – one Fuente Fuente Opus X Figurado and one Diamond Crown Julius Caeser Figurado – that are not available on the open market. These cigars are placed in exquisite commemorative packaging and sold through only the best smokeshops at signature Toast Across America cigar events that include cigar tastings, entertainment, cocktails and much more. Thanks to the Fuente and Newman families, the Toast is underwritten so that all proceeds go directly to the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation.
