Greetings, soothsayers of Solace. Experience Harmony, the new AKA Solace Lancero cigar. Only 50 boxes were produced in its initial run which is now available in Baton Rouge & Covington. We will soon list this facing on www.CigarEarth.com so don’t fret if you don’t live near a Habana Port location. We have not tried it yet as we just received the cigar and wanted to quickly share the news with you. Check out our Twitter feed for our reaction to this blend.

Cigar Baton Rouge: Habana Port

Greetings, minions of Google Maps. In case you don’t know where our Baton Rouge cigar shop is located, check out Google Maps below. Habana Port Cigar Merchants in Baton Rouge is easy to find. We are at the corner of College and Perkins to the left of AutoZone. We are centrally located in the state capital (minutes from I-10, I-12 and LSU). So come in and visit Baton Rouge’s newest cigar shop. We have the most diverse cigar selection and are the area’s exclusive carriers of cigar brands like Viaje, Four Kicks and Ortega Cigar Company. Joya de Nicaragua Antaño 1970 Lancero Cigar Review

Greetings, heathens of Joya de Nicaragua. Today, we at Habana Port Cigar Merchants wanted to sample a new cigar arrival for us. It is the Joya de Nicaragua Antaño 1970 Lancero. This vitola is a rather slender and longer format usually reserved for those who are quite refined or who prefer a higher wrapper to filler ratio. Many industry insiders prefer this format. Anyway, we wanted to give the cigar a shot to see how it smoked.
First, we used a punch cutter since the ring gauge is rather small. The lancero smoked wonderfully. It seems to be cleaner than the other Antaño sizes. There were notes of earth, light oak and hazelnut. For us, the cigar lasted about 1 hour and 10 minutes. In summary, we really enjoyed the size. JdN as you may know is Nicaragua’s oldest cigar factory and the Antaño 1970 is a tribute to their founding.

Greetings, patrons of Perdomo. We just received a Perdomo Cigar Company email announcing a price increase. It states that due to the 8% wage increase in Nicaragua in January & rising supplier manufacturing costs, Perdomo had to implement a price increase.

Cigar Dossier

Greetings, bibliophiles. Preserve your cigar bands and start your own cigar journal. We sell the Cigar Dossier for $29.95. This is also a great organizational way to document and record the cigars you have smoked. There are pre-printed entries like the date and time you smoked a particular cigar, the retailer from whom you bought the cigar, your own personal notes regarding the flavor profile of the cigar and the single stick price. And there is a space on which you can affix the cigar band thereby preserving the remnants of that handmade.
With so many cigar brands on the market, the Cigar Dossier is a great way to keep track of all the smokes out there.
